Depending on the enquiry, a receiving hospital may ask for respiratory notes, the diagnosis or care objective, pulmonary-function reports if already performed, chest imaging, relevant laboratory or pathology reports, and a current medication list.

This list is not a request to obtain new tests. The hospital decides which information it requires after reviewing the enquiry.

A receiving hospital decides whether it can review a respiratory medicine enquiry, whether relevant services are available, and what clinical next steps may be appropriate.

Submitting a Case Review does not guarantee hospital acceptance, an appointment, a treatment option, service availability, or an outcome.

Wait for written hospital feedback before booking travel or making treatment arrangements.
